Children
We are very excited to be offering Sunday school options for our children. We are using the newly developed Feasting on the Word curriculum, offered by our own denomination's publishing division. You can explore this program by going to their website at www.feastingontheword.net
This Sunday school program, which is designed for all children, aged 2 through grade 6, will follow the Revised Common Lectionary, which is also the theme around which our worship is structured. So the themes will follow through from the Sunday school hour into our worship time. Children will have what they have learned in Sunday school reinforced during the worship hour.
These resources are engaging for children, current, theologically and educationally sound.

Youth
Youth at Faith Presbyterian are valued and cherished, and we are pleased to offer any youth who comes to Faith the opportunity to learn more about their faith. Youth who are exploring their faith are full of questions, to which the answers are not always obvious. In an attempt to enter into a discussion, we will offer our denomination's curriculum as outlined above, Feasting on the Word. Youth who are of confirmation age will be guided through a confirmation process utilizing appropriate confirmation materials provided by our denomination. This process will be led by the pastor.

Adult
Beginning in October of 2012, we will offer two classes for our adult learners. One will be a more loosely structured class, with the lessons focusing on the text from which the sermon of the day is taken, and the sermon topic. Teachers utilize commentary pertinent to the sermon text, as well as discussion starters provided by the pastor. The tile of the class is Before the Sermon and meets each Sunday morning at 9:30 in the parlor.
Our newest class will begin on October 14th, and will focus on our denomination's The Present Word curriculum. This class will utilize a more structured approach, utilizing study books provided. The class will meet each Sunday in the library, also beginning at 9:30.

Theology on Tap
We didn't invent this idea, but we are sure benefitting from it! Each Tuesday evening at 7:00 we gather at Elizabeth's Pizza in the Quaker Village shopping center, for thought-provoking, engaging, and challenging time of discussion and sharing. As we continue this venture, our current book study (September of 2012) is The Gospel According to Starbucks, by Leonard Sweet. The book is available on Amazon.com, or as a Kindle download.
